Why should I serve on a
committee?
Unlike other industries where professional
associations are well established, the telecommunications industry,
and specifically the revenue assurance profession, has maintained an
antiquated concept of education.
The fact is that the quickest way to
advance is to learn by other’s successes and mistakes. This is the
philosophy behind the GRAPA committees. It is a place for dedicated
revenue assurance professionals to improve their skills and raise
the industry bar.
Also, serving on a GRAPA committee
provides you with an excellent opportunity to hone your
communication, planning and analysis skills in ways that you can
apply immediately at your facility. You also get to know other
members from around the world and expand your professional network.

Benefits of being on a committee:
-
Discussing issues that concern your group
-
Finding solutions that are applicable for your scenario
-
Sharing ideas
-
Hearing about the latest trends
-
Building up your revenue assurance knowledge
-
Meeting with your peers
-
Publishing papers
-
Asking questions and getting answers
What’s Involved?
In the beginning, those who serve on committees will
have the one-time opportunity to create and define the mission and
vision of that committee. After that, all you need is a few
hours a month of time to donate to the committee and a personal
drive to the advancement of techniques and standards in your
profession. If you have the time and the desire, you are
cordially invited to serve on a GRAPA committee.
How Can I volunteer for a GRAPA Committee?
Interested individuals may send an
email to the committee chair or in the case that a committee chair
has not yet been appointed, send an email to
