GRAPA Certification
Our newest and most exciting committee
yet to be formed is the certification committee. This committee will
dedicate its efforts to the development of standards, tests and
procedures that will help the industry define standards for activity
and training. The certification committee will be concerned with two
areas:
1. FIRST - we will address the
certification of revenue assurance professionals. The committee will
work to define the different roles within a revenue assurance team (ie
Manager, Auditor, Engineer) and the different areas where they will
be certified (ie Prepaid Auditor, Roaming Engineer etc.) As of yet,
only some very preliminary work has been done on the certification
of professionals and we are looking to the GRAPA membership to step
forward and take on the tasks.
We have already recruited the
assistance of "The Revenue Assurance Academy" to help us to develop
these materials.
2. SECOND - after the certification of
professionals program is in place, the team will then address the
certification of practices. The committee will work to standardize
exactly what kinds of things should be checked in each area of telco
operations, and will establish standard criteria for its review.
No area of the revenue assurance
professional will be untouched by the activities of these
committees, and we are searching now, for volunteers to serve as
chairpersons.
