GRAPA Benchmark Committee
Benchmarks are the method that GRAPA
utilizes in order to query the membership as to their practices or
opinions, and allows us to quickly gather a consensus on any given
issue. GRAPA has acquired a software page that manages the web based
polling process, and it can be utilized to gather information on any
number of topics.
The actual
work of putting the surveys into the software, and sending
“announcements’ to the GRAPA membership asking them to
participate is managed by the Officers and Admin team.
The
process of determining what to do benchmarks about, and to
determine the actual questions asked, is done by the
benchmarking committee.
The
benchmarking committee is a group of GRAPA volunteers who get
involved in the review and development of GRAPA benchmarks.
Benchmarks
are the mechanism that we utilized to find out what the
membership wants and allows us to publish findings that
credibility.
This
committee represents one of the biggest ways that GRAPA can function
to help everyone in the industry improve what they are doing and
help gain the support needed from management.

Benchmark Committee Mission
Statement
The
Benchmark committee has been created in order to support the needs
of the professional revenue assurance community for information
about how we, as an industry, function. To that end, the committee
is commissioned to:
-
Gather requirements from the RA community about what kinds
of benchmarks they would like to see executed
-
Take
input from the community in order to assemble those
benchmarks,
-
create and execute the studies (polling GRAPA members for
input) and
-
then
publishing the results for GRAPA members to share.
Benchmark Chairperson
The committee is chaired by Anthony Njoku, who works as the Team
Lead for VAS applications for MTN in Nigeria. As a seasoned
professional and degreed MBA Anthony is eminently qualified serve as
our chair for this activity.
Anthony will be looking to all GRAPA members to provide him with
input about studies they are interested in seeing performed, as well
as input about things already in the works.
Anthony can be contacted either through the
Benchmark Forum
or by email at

About Benchmarks
One of the most attractive and
interesting things about GRAPA is the extensive GRAPA revenue
assurance best practices benchmarks library. Our market research and extensive
interviews with revenue assurance professionals around the world
revealed loud and clear that everyone in the revenue assurance
business wants to know how everyone else is doing it.
-
How do I know how much revenue assurance is
enough?
-
How do I decide where to set the limits on my
manpower, budget and expense?
-
Where and how are other people tackling the
problems my CEO and CFO are asking
me to face?
-
How do I justify these decisions to top
management?
-
For many, the
GRAPA benchmarks provide an important answer.
What are the GRAPA
Benchmarks?
The GRAPA Benchmarks are a series of
independently prepared, best practices-based online surveys,
designed to cover all of the different areas critical to the
operations of revenue assurance in telcos today.
How it works is simple. If you would
like to see how other carriers are handling any particular aspect of
revenue assurance, all you have to do is:
-
Register for the benchmark survey
-
Answer the questions for
your organization
-
We compile the results, add them to our database,
and provide you with the overall results from everyone’s answers
Once you have filled out the survey,
you have the right to request to see the results of others who
participate as many times as you want.
As more and more carriers participate,
more information will become available.
