GRAPA Policies

Public Relations and Corporate Communications
GRAPA is a volunteer based organization, and as such we make no
effort, and have not ability to monitor or control the things that
our members do or say. Whenever GRAPA members, and especially
committee chairpersons or committee members represent GRAPA however,
there are some guidelines that we need to have followed.
First, GRAPA does not solicit funds or contributions for outside
organizations for advertising or any other activity. GRAPA is funded
through training and certification fees. Therefore, no one
representing themselves as coming from the GRAPA organization and
soliciting funds is doing so as an individual.
Second, we ask that any representation of GRAPA to the public,
either through the press, conferences, or other public relations
venues, be communicated and cleared through the GRAPA officers
(currently Rob Mattison, Brigitte Mattison, and Carola Rusch). We
are doing this in order to protect the integrity and accuracy of
things being communicated about GRAPA. Miscommunication can do a lot
of damage to our efforts, so we just want to keep things simple and
clear.
Third, in December we will be preparing a set of GRAPA approved
literature, describing GRAPA, our principles, our activities , our
standards and our membership. We will also be preparing a set of
presentations that communicate this information. Anyone interested
in distributing this material should contact Carola Rusch at
carola@grapatel.com and we will get the material
forwarded to you.

Revised GRAPA Policy on Commercial Membership
As of 10/19/2007, the policy on the commercial memberships has been
modified in the following ways:
1. People wishing to join the GRAPA organization will be allowed to
join as Commercial members at NO CHARGE at this time.
2. These members will receive full membership benefits including the
ability to serve as moderators and committee chairpersons, as well
as serving on committees.
