Rationalization Success Stories - When RA -
Pays
RATIONALIZATION is one of the three major foundational principles
for GRAPA and for the practice of revenue assurance. If the revenue
assurance activity that you are pursuing cannot be tied back to
specific, measurable and significant revenue gains for the business,
then there is really no reason to pursue it at all.
Well , that may sound great, and noble and admirable, but what are
the facts.
While rationalizing your activities may sound like a good idea,
there are all sorts of reasons, excuses and legitimate barriers to
accomplishing it in reality.
How do you accomplish rationalization when executives insist that
you do things that you know will not yield a good ROI?
What is the place that rationalization plays in your day to day
activities when the KPI's that you are measured on actually force
you to make decisions that COST THE COMPANY MONEY instead of saving
the money.
And the biggest question of all, “How do I find the best scenarios
for accomplishing a good return on investment every time?”.
This month , we consider this critical aspect of revenue assurance,
the establishment of good rationalization criteria.
Our contributors, and the entire membership are being asked to weigh
in on this issue.
How do YOU accomplish rationalization in your revenue assurance
practice?
What are some of the situations where you have been able to return
good returns on the companies investment in RA activity?
What are the impediments that making the accomplishment of
rationalization difficult?
Find out how others are doing it, and share your successes with the
rest of us!
